Privacy Policy for Weave Maps

Weave Reality AS ("we", "us", "our") develops and offers the Weave Maps app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information.

Information we collect

Usage Data: To improve the app and provide multi-user functionality, we collect data about your usage of the app, including button presses, time and location of use, and interactions in shared sessions (including voice if this feature is enabled). This is done via Unity Cloud.
Device Information: We collect information about your device, including location, WiFi network, and usage patterns, via "Meta Horizon Managed Services" for the management and distribution of the app, specifically for Meta Quest 3.
Voice recordings (optional): If you use the transcription and summary feature, voice recordings are sent to Google Cloud (Google Gemini AI) for processing.
Map data: Your use of the map functionality, including search and navigation, is recorded by Google Cloud (Google Photorealistic 3D map, Street View, and place name search) and Cesium (Cesium Ion). This includes the geographic areas you view in the app.
Technical information: To ensure security and operation, Microsoft Azure collects your IP address and logs the app's use of the servers.
Crash reports: We collect automatic crash reports via Unity Cloud to improve app stability.

Use of services from Google

The app uses the above services from Google (Map Tiles API and more). The use of Google's services is subject to their privacy policy, which can be read at Google Privacy Policy.

How we use the information:

We use the information to provide, improve and maintain the app, including providing multi-user functionality, analyzing usage, troubleshooting issues and ensuring security.

Sharing of information

We share information with third-party providers as described above (Unity Cloud, Meta, Google Cloud, Cesium, and Microsoft Azure). We do not share your information with other third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

Your rights
